Alice Cook HouseiTango Marathon 2020 attendees will be housed in Alice Cook House, where many of the activities will take place.

Alice Cook House is located on West Campus and is air-cooled. The House is a residence hall used by students during the academic year. It contains a mix of hallway rooms (a bedroom that opens into the hallway) and 4-bedroom suites.

Hallway rooms share a bathroom with approximately 4 other hallway room occupants. There are no private bathrooms or double beds available.

The suites contain three single occupancy rooms and one double occupancy room, meaning that each guest will share a small living space and one bathroom with four suitemates.

Each bedroom, regardless of room style, has an extra-long twin size bed, desk, desk lamp, desk chair, dresser, bookcase, wastebasket, and closet or wardrobe per person.

Double occupancy rooms require that each person residing in the room register, book their bed, and pay separately for the event. Roommates for double occupancy rooms or suitemates can be requested during registration or by emailing confserv@cornell.edu. All members of your party must be registered before you email your request.

If you require any particular accommodations regarding your housing, please email confserv@cornell.edu, please specify "iTango Marathon 2020" in the subject line.

Bed and bath linens are provided. Each person will receive 2 sheets, a pillow with a pillowcase, 2 bath towels, a face cloth, a blanket, and a bedspread. Beds will be made upon arrival and made daily after 10:00 am. All bathrooms and common areas are cleaned daily. Laundry facilities are located in the building.

Kitchenettes are located on the 3rd and 4th floor of the building. Cooking utensils, cookware, plates, and flatware are not provided.

There are single occupancy and double occupancy rooms available.
The single occupancy room rate is $86.00 per person, per night, plus 8% sales tax.
The double occupancy room rate is $60.00 per person, per night plus 8% sales tax. (each person in a double occupancy room must register and pay separately)

A one-time administrative fee of US $38.00 will be charged to each participant. Housing Registration will close on June 6, 2018.

Check In / Out

The main Check-in will be held from 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm on June 25th, 2020. Check out is by 10:00 am on your date of departure. Please know that there is a charge of $105.00 for keys that are lost or not returned and $25.00 for door access cards that are lost or not returned. Check-in and check-out will be processed through the Alice Cook House Office, (709 University Avenue, Ithaca, NY 14853) which is open on June 25th. Any arrivals after 8:00 pm can call for on-call assistance. The number will be posted on all Residence Hall doors. To check out simply drop your keys into the key drop box at the Cook House Service desk.

Internet service for your personal laptop is available through the Cornell visitor network. You will need to register your device daily.


Parking on the Cornell University campus is restricted to permit or payment at all times. Please read the information below carefully to determine the best way for you to purchase parking for your conference:

Option 1- Advance-Purchase Parking (recommended): Select your conference, pay via credit card, and receive a link to a printable parking permit valid for the entire length of the conference. Print the parking permit and bring it with you to campus. When you arrive at your specified parking lot, display your printed permit on your dash. Visit:https://cornell.clickandpark.com/event to purchase parking. You must have access to a printer to use this option.

Option 2- Parking on Arrival: If you do not pay for parking in advance, or need dates other than for the entire conference, you will need to purchase a permit once you arrive on campus using Parkmobile Pay-by-Cell Parking. Pay at hourly parking rates in University Avenue Lot for $.75 per hour or $6 per day. Parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Accessible Parking: Display your printed dashboard or short-term permit in conjunction with your municipal permit when parking in handicap-accessible spaces on campus. Carefully observe signs when parking; some accessible spaces are reserved for specific license plates. If you need assistance, please call 607-255-4600.

Cancellation Policy

All cancellations, changes, and requests for refunds must be made in writing. Refund requests received prior to 2 weeks before the first day of the conference will receive a full refund less a $50.00 fee. Refund requests received later than 2 weeks before the first day of the conference will not be honored.
